Wu Zhichang is a painter of Republic of China. As the most famous calendar painters，he was employed by the British American Tobacco，the largest tobacco company of its time in China. After 1949，Wu became a painter of Shanghai People，s Fine Arts Publishing House and was known for his elegant style of painting. During Anti-Japanese War period，he，along with Zhou Baisheng，Xie Zhiguang，etc.，created Mulan back from War in support of national spirit in fighting against the Japanese invasion.
